Introduction

A Long Term Companion, LLC (“ALTC”, “we”, “us” and “our”) respects and values your privacy and trust.  This Privacy Policy explains how and why we collect, use, share, and protect the Personal Information (as defined below) that we collect from you through your interactions with us. This Privacy Policy describes our practices in connection with Personal Information that we collect about:

  • Visitors of our websites or web-based applications (“Websites”)
  • Users of software applications made available by us for use on or through computers and mobile devices (“Apps”)
  • Contacts at our clients and/or prospective clients
  • Contacts for suppliers of goods and services to ALTC
  • Any other individual about whom ALTC obtains Personal Information in the provision of services to our clients (“Client Services”)
  • Individuals who apply to work for us
  • Participants in any other services or activities offered by or for us in which this Privacy Policy is posted or linked (including offline activities, as described in this Privacy Policy)
  • Persons who interact with our advertising and applications on third-party websites and services (if those applications or advertising display or post a link to this Privacy Policy); and
  • Any other individual that communicates with us (whether through the Site or by telephone, email, text message, or other electronic messages) or otherwise provide Personal Information to us.

The activities and interactions during which we may collect Personal Information, as outlined above, are collectively called “Services”.  By using the Services, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy and consent to our collection, use, and disclosure practices described in this Privacy Policy.  If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the Services or give us any of your information.  

Unless the context expressly indicates otherwise, the terms “you” and “your” refer to both you individually and any person or entity on whose behalf you are representing.  If you use the Services on behalf of someone else (such as your child) or an entity (such as your employer), you represent that you are authorized by such individual or entity to accept this Privacy Policy on such individual’s or entity’s behalf and to permit us to use the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Use.   All capitalized but undefined terms in this Privacy Policy shall have the meaning ascribed to such terms in the Terms of Use.

Information We Collect About You

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, Personal Information is information that personally identifies you or reasonably can be linked to information that identifies you.  Below are some examples of the categories of Personal Information we may collect.  Not all categories of Personal Information may be collected about every individual.

  • Name and contact information, such as full name, home address, email address, and phone number;
  • Device identifiers and data, such as IP address, unique device identifiers, cookies and other data linked to a device, and data about how you use our Site;
  • Demographic information, such as date of birth and gender;
  • Government-issued identification numbers, such as social security and driver’s license numbers;
  • Financial and payment information, such as credit card, debit card, and bank accounts numbers;
  • Health and health insurance information, such as health insurance identification numbers;

Personal Information once “de-identified” is not subject to this Privacy Policy and we and our Service Providers may treat it as non-Personal Information and use it without obligation to you except as prohibited by applicable law.

How We Collect Your Information

There are two ways in which we may collect information from or about you: (1) we receive the information from you and (2) we receive the information from others. Information we receive from you includes: (i) information you actively share with us, such as when you create an account on our website, and ii) information you provide us passively through technology, such as through a cookie placed on your computer when you visit our website.

  • We may ask you to provide your Personal Information anytime you interact with us, including when you use the Services.  For example, we collect information when you sign up for email or text message (SMS/MMS) notifications and/or newsletters; complete a survey; apply for a job; provide comments, reviews, or testimonials about our services; request information about our services; send us a message; or otherwise communicate with us.  When you engage in these types of activities, you may share different types of Personal Information with us, such as your name, address, email address, phone number, date of birth, and payment information.
  • You are never required to provide the Personal Information that we have requested. Please note, however, if you chose not to do so, in many cases we will not be able to provide you with certain services or respond to any queries you may have.

Information you passively provide us.

  • When you interact with us through the Services, we and our service providers may collect certain information about those interactions using cookies and other technologies to enhance our users’ experience and to compile statistical information regarding their use (“Usage Information”).  This information helps our Services work correctly and supports our marketing and analytics efforts – our work to understand our client’s needs and provide information about our Services. Examples of Usage Information that we may collect include, among other things, information about your computer, device identifier, browser type, operating system, IP address, the address of referring Websites, the path you take through our Websites, and other information about your use of our Services. If you access the Services from a mobile device, we may collect a unique device identifier assigned to that device, geolocation data, or other transactional information for that device. To the extent that we combine Usage Information with your Personal Information, we will treat the combined information as Personal Information under this Privacy Policy.  Any other Usage Information well collect will not be subject to this Privacy Statement and we and our Service Providers (defined below) may treat it as non-Personal Information and use it without obligation to you except as prohibited by applicable law. 
  • We do not currently respond to do-not-track signals. If you do not want information collected through the use of cookies, most browsers allow you to automatically decline cookies or be given the choice of declining or accepting a particular cookie (or cookies) from a particular website. Information from Other Sources
  • We may supplement or combine personal information you provide to us or our service providers with information from other sources (e.g. joint marketing partners, social media platforms, public and nonpublic records, and from other third parties) to help us correct or supplement our records, improve the quality or personalization of our Services and marketing to you.  If you are a candidate for employment, we may have received your Personal Information from third parties (e.g. external websites, recruiters, etc.). We will use the Personal Information we receive to contact you about a potential opportunity or in evaluating your candidacy. To the extent we combine such third party sourced information with Personal Information we have collected about you on the Service, we will treat the combined information as Personal Information under this Privacy Policy. Disclosure of Personal Information

We will not sell or rent Personal Information for monetary consideration.  We may provide Personal Information to third parties in limited circumstances, such as to conduct our business, to improve or deliver our services, if there is a change in our business structure, to support our business operations, to provide services to you, and for any other purpose described in this Privacy Policy or with your consent.  We may also disclose your Personal Information to third parties under the following circumstances.

PLEASE NOTE: To the extent that information collected through the Service is protected health information, such information is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices and not this Privacy Policy. Protection of Personal Information

We have implemented reasonable measures to secure Personal Information from accidental loss or destruction and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. Unfortunately, no transmission or storage system cannot be guaranteed 100% secure

International Use

The Services are designed for users from, and is controlled and operated by us from, the United States. If you are accessing the Services from outside of the United States, please be aware that information collected through the Services is governed by United States law and the information may be transferred to, processed, stored, and used in the United States, which may have different data protection rules than those of your country.  Your use of the Services constitutes your consent for your information, including Personal Information, to be transferred to and from, processed, used, shared and storage in the United States, as described in this Privacy Statement.

Children’s Privacy

The nature of our Site and other online services are not intended for nor targeted toward children under the age of 16.  We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from or market to any person under the age of 16. If you are under the age of 16, you are not permitted to use the Site or Services and should not send any information about yourself to us or through the Site or Services.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time, so we encourage you to review it periodically.  You can determine when we last updated the Privacy Policy by referring to “LAST UPDATED” legend at the top of this page.  Any changes become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy. Your use of the Services after these changes means that you accept the revised Privacy Policy.

Third Party Websites

The Website and Apps may contain links to unaffiliated third parties, such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. This Privacy Policy does not apply to such third party websites. When you click a link to visit a third party website, you will be subject to their website’s privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy and security practices of any linked third party website before providing any Personal Information on that website.
